The gamescom LAN is expanding with the addition of the Fighting Games Area, created in collaboration with CGN Esports. Taking place in Cologne at the Koelnmesse, the same iconic venue as the world-renowned gamescom, we aim to establish a major event for the entire fighting game community, uniting players from various titles under one roof.
With ambitious plans and a commitment to the competitive gaming scene, we are excited to embark on a journey to make gamescom LAN a flagship event for fighting games in Europe and beyond.

Participation is restricted to individuals aged 16+

For the first time ever, the European TEKKEN Cup will feature a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), giving participants one final shot at earning a place in the prestigious finals. Both the LCQ and the finals will be hosted live at the gamescom LAN x CGN Open Fighting Game Area, in collaboration with Bandai Namco.

The top 2 players from Friday’s LCQ will join the remaining 18 winners from the regional qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday to compete for the crown and a share of the €32,000 prize pool.

The event will be streamed live across all three days, bringing the action straight to fans around the world.

Smash Ultimate Super Major

Simultaneously, the Smash Ultimate Super Major tournament will take place, featuring a capacity of at least 350 participants. Right from the start, this tournament aims to be a major event in the European Smash scene, attracting top players from across Europe and beyond to compete for the championship title.
This inaugural edition is just the beginning, with dreams of growing even larger in the coming years and cementing its place as a flagship event for the global Smash community.
